The full brother to this Colt last year we liked a lot and he was no better, not one ounce better, than this Colt and he made $325,000 at the Magic Millions last year. We liked another by the stallion at the same sale also with the Arrowfield brand and he made $350,000 and honestly they were no better Colts than this horse. Ours is a fashion business and what is in vogue today for $350,000 is not tomorrow but it absolutely is at $80,000. We love to buy against fashion as that is where true value lies.
We are truly very lucky that he was early on Day 3 and Arrowfield take their horses to sales to sell them and they put a very reasonable reserve on him and we are now the lucky people who own him for such little money really.
He is a 3/4 or 1/2 brother to 3 stakes performers. How did PROFIT not win a stakes race? RIFLEMAN a very good sprinter on his day. His mother OPPORTUNITY a proper 2YO winning twice at 2 and running 4th in a Blue Diamond. His great grandmother the very fast 2YO BEANS.
