Stridyl has been busy behind the scenes developing our unique Marketplace as well as creating new content for 2023.

When Stridyl was launched it was imperative that we spoke to a broader audience. We wanted to offer more information regarding our industry and provide entertainment that could educate those wanting to learn. Paddock To Post was our first official Stridyl entertainment piece. It was many months of planning and relationship building to be able to produce a project of this magnitude.

Stridyl was granted unprecedented access by some of Australia’s leading thoroughbred stud farms to document their foal’s journey from birth to becoming a racehorse. Segenhoe Stud, Newgate Farm, Kitchwin Hills, and Torryburn Stud all came on board and helped us create this one-of-a-kind documentary.

Episode 1: Paddock to Post Documentary | Newborn foals

Stridyl documented the formative stages of a select group of foals and their dams. As well as the people involved who raise, care for, and educate our racehorses. We witnessed them take their first breath and their first steps. We documented the processes each stud and their experienced team of staff take to ensure the foals are given the greatest opportunity to be healthy and successful.

Episode 2: Paddock to Post Documentary | Espiona’s Brother

In episode 2, we welcomed a new yearling colt to the series at Torryburn stud. The new yearling was exceptionally well-bred. Born and raised at one of Australia’s best nurseries, Torryburn Stud. The colt is by Capitalist out of Dahooil, which makes him a half-brother to the Chris Waller-trained Espiona. Plus, we revisit the Written Tycoon x Total Attraction colt at Segenhoe Stud to see how he’s matured in the first 9 months of his life in the Hunter Valley.

Episode 3: Paddock to Post | Inspecting the Next Generation

In episode 3, we accompanied the Australian thoroughbred auction houses. Magic Millions and William Inglis inspected nearly 10,000 yearlings entered by the stud farms for their 2023 sales season. Stridyl revisited our 4 foals featured in the series as they are inspected on farms around the Hunter Valley of Australia. We gained an understanding of how each auction house meticulously assesses the yearlings over a 6-month period. We witnessed their processes as they vie for the opportunity to be entrusted to sell the farms yearlings in 2023.

What to expect

Episode 3 was just released this week with an overwhelmingly positive response. We have become somewhat attached to our foals that have been featured in the documentary. To watch them be selected for their 2023 sales was such an intriguing experience. Two of the foals have been selected for the first sale of the year. The Magic Millions yearling sale in January. Newgate’s Brutal x Janast Colt is Lot 4 and will be sold on day 1 and Segenhoe’s Written Tycoon x Total Attraction Colt is Lot 495 and will be sold on day 3. Lucky for us we will on grounds to document them going through the ring before following their next stage of becoming a racehorse.

Paddock To Post will be a 6-part documentary. Episode 4 will feature their sales education as they prepare to walk into the ring. We will visit the farms that raised them to gain insight from our industry leaders on how they prepare a yearling being presented for sale.

Episode 4 is due to arrive in January.

Paddock to Post will not only be our primary focus in the early new year. We will also be launching the innovative Stridyl Marketplace.

We have developed our Marketplace to be a lead generator. By connecting our rapidly growing audience to our trusted trainers and licensed syndicators. Our audience will be able to search, compare, and connect to become a racehorse owner.

We understand the growing pressure for trainers and syndications to reach those wanting to become racehorse owners. Owners lack a trusted resource too. On our Marketplace, they can search and compare a wide catalogue of ownership opportunities and available shares.

We are now in the final development stages of the Stridyl Marketplace. An easy-to-navigate tool where potential owners can search, compare and contact those presenting shares for sale.

The Marketplace is simply for the thoroughbred industry in Australia. If you are a licensed trainer or licensed syndicator and interested in joining the Marketplace, then please register your interest below.
